2011 AAA Officers Profiles ~

Beau Daniel, President
Beau Daniel is a Regional Property Manager for Foshee Management Company. Beau has served the River Region Apartment Association in many roles since 2005 including  Board of Director,  President Elect, President, and Treasurer. Beau has served as a delegate of the National Apartment Association since 2009.  He holds a marketing degree from Auburn University and has been employed in the multifamily housing industry since 2001. Beau has been married to Brittany since 2004 and has two sons, Reed and Gaines.






Leslie Yeilding, Vice President
Leslie Yeilding is the General Manager and Vice President of EBSCO Income Properties, LLC, a subsidiary of EBSCO Industries, Inc. EBSCO Income Properties, LLC, was established in 2007 to build a portfolio of multifamily investments. Leslie’s responsibilities include sourcing qualified acquisition opportunities, sourcing and maintaining joint venture relationships, debt placement and structuring, all investment and tax matters, all property management activities, and all asset dispositions. Leslie received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Management from The University of Alabama, and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alabama’s New College where he completed an in-depth study of Advertising and Marketing Communications. He completed his Masters of Business Administration in 1996 at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Leslie is currently a member of the Alabama Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Institute through which he successfully completed commercial real estate investment courses to receive the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. Additionally, Leslie served as President of the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association for 2010. He also served as Vice President of the Alabama Apartment Association for 2010-11, and was a Board Member of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders for 2010. Leslie received the Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation through the National Apartment Association, and has been appointed to serve on the Independent Rental Owners’ Committee (IROC) for 2012 by the Chairman of the National Apartment Association.




Ellen Maxime, Secretary
Ellen Maxime is Vice President of Property Management with Delaney Development, Inc. She currently oversees operation of approximately 2200 apartment homes and has been in property management for 26 years.  She received her NALP and CAM certifications through the National Apartment Association; she is also a licensed Real Estate Agent and Realtor in the state of Alabama.  She is a graduate of the 2011 Leadership Mobile Class and a 2009 NAA Leadership Lyceum graduate.  She is active in her church and in civic organizations and enjoys being a part of the Mobile Community. Ellen has served the Mobile Bay Area Apartment Association for many years; she is currently the Treasurer of the MBAAA.  She has served in the past as the President as well as a Director for many years.  She is a Past President of the Alabama Apartment Association and currently serves as the NAA Region 9 Vice President.It is Ellen’s mission for all industry membership to see the benefits of their membership with the National Apartment Association as well as their involvement with their state and local affiliate.



Travis Couick, Treasurer



Frank Barefield, Immediate Past President
Frank Barefield is President of Abbey Residential, LLC, a real estate development company which owns a portfolio of half a billion dollars of multi-family properties. Barefield received a BS degree from the University of Alabama and an MBA degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma National Scholastic Honor Society. Barefield is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduated from the University of South Alabama Banking School where he was valedictorian.

Barefield is past President of the Alabama Investment Property Owners Council and a past member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Homebuilders Association of Alabama. He is a two time past President of the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the National Apartment Association. Barefield was the silver medalist at the 1974 World Powerlifting Championships and has been awarded the Master of the Sport award by the Amateur Athletic Union and the Elite Award by the U.S. National Weightlifting Committee.
